FLOOR INSTALLATION FOLLOW THESE DIY STEPS BELOW
Step One
Using a measuring tape, measure the length and width of your garage.
Step Two
Once you have your measurements, design your garage floor on racedeck.com/designer
Step Three
When your floor arrives, take everything out of your garage and give your existing concrete a good sweep to eliminate any dirt or dust.
Step Four
When beginning your installation, line up your new floor (with room for edging to be attached) at the garage door opening, to ensure that when the garage door is closed the floor and edges are inside the garage door.
Step Five
As you begin laying your tiles, make sure that the loops are all facing the same direction – the direction you want to install the floor. Lay your floor in an L shape- along the garage door opening and left wall *REMEMBER to leave proper space for expansion between your floor and any walls, poles, cabinets etc…
Step Six
Reference your online design as you continue to layout your floor. Continue laying as many full modules as possible until your floor is mostly complete.
Step Seven
Trim tiles to fit any walls, stairs, poles etc. make sure to leave the same
¼- ½” gap for expansion. Always measure twice, cut once.
Step Eight
Install ramp edges.

Your RaceDeck garage floor, interlocks using a patented PowerLock® system, which is one loop and one peg, which positively interlock. If you need to disengage this system, for any reason, to remove a tile from the center of the flooring, you can do so, using a simple putty knife, while following these easy steps:
- Determine the loop and lock orientation of your floor, by checking either front corner of the garage to see which way the loops and lock are facing
- Insert the putty knife, between the modules, on the lock side of the module you wish to remove
- Gently angle the putty knife to compress each lock and remove it from the loop, repeating for each lock
- Using the putty knife, lift the bottom of the module up, so you may grab and remove from the floor
