Installation & Usage

Can flooring be installed on grass or soil?

Modular flooring can be installed over compacted grass or soil only if a firm, flat sub-surface is placed underneath. A stable base ensures the interlocking system remains secure and prevents uneven surfaces.

For uneven or soft ground, we recommend using a suitable subfloor system before installation.

Are the floors suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. Many of our modular flooring systems are weather-resistant and suitable for outdoor use. For best performance:

  • Install on flat, stable surfaces

  • Avoid prolonged direct sunlight where possible

  • Confirm suitability for your event duration and location

Contact us with your site details for tailored advice.

Is installation easy or do I need a professional?

Most modular flooring systems supplied by Exhibit Flooring are designed for DIY installation with no tools required. Interlocking panels connect securely and can be installed quickly depending on floor size.

For larger projects or commercial environments, installation guidance or services may be recommended.

Do you offer installation services?

Installation services are available in selected regions, including the Melbourne metropolitan area. For other locations, we provide installation guidance and support for contractors or event teams.

Is removal and storage easy?

Yes. Modular flooring panels can be disconnected, stacked and stored for future use. Storage trolleys are available for efficient transport and storage between events.

Maintenance & Durability

Do the floors require maintenance?

Exhibit Flooring tiles are designed to be low maintenance. The commercial-grade surface resists most spills and stains and does not require resurfacing.

Routine cleaning with standard cleaning products is typically sufficient.

Will the tiles crack, peel or warp?

Our modular flooring systems are engineered to resist cracking, peeling and warping when installed over suitable surfaces and used as intended.

Customisation & Design

Can I customise my flooring layout?

Yes. Modular panels are interchangeable, allowing clients to mix colours, finishes and patterns. Custom branding, logos and bespoke designs are available for events, exhibitions and commercial spaces.

How long does a custom floor take to produce?

Custom flooring projects typically require 3–6 weeks, depending on design complexity and production requirements. Contact us early in your planning process to avoid delays.

Do I need edging around my floor?

Edging is optional but recommended. It provides a professional finish and helps reduce trip hazards around the perimeter of the floor.

What is a pre-packaged flooring kit?

Pre-packaged kits include the exact number of tiles and edging required for common floor sizes. These kits are ready to order and install.

Can pre-packaged floors be customised?
